VideoToText is an online video and audio transcription tool. Upload local files, paste video links, or record audio to get editable transcripts, summaries, subtitles, and translations.

Open the upload area on the homepage, choose a file or paste a link, confirm language and advanced settings, then submit the job. When processing finishes, copy text, download subtitles, or generate a summary from the workbench.

Yes. If captions exist, the system tries those first. Otherwise it downloads available audio and runs speech recognition to create a new transcript.

Guests can try basic transcription. After signing in you get daily free jobs, saved history, and access to results in My Assets.

Use the sign-in button in the header. You can log in with email verification, email password, or configured OAuth providers. Jobs are tied to your account after registration.

Choose sign out from the account menu in the header or sidebar. Your saved jobs remain, but the browser returns to guest mode.

Contact support with your registered email to request deletion. Export any transcripts you want to keep before requesting removal.

Common video and audio formats are supported, including MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM, MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, and OGG.

The product page shows up to 5 GB per file. Actual limits also depend on your plan, network, and storage configuration. Large files prefer direct R2 upload.

Use stable Wi-Fi and keep the page open during upload. If mobile networks fail to reach storage, compress the file, switch networks, or use a video link instead.

Accuracy depends on audio quality, language, background noise, speaking speed, and model settings. Clear single-speaker audio works best; noisy meetings need more review.

The product supports Chinese and many other languages for transcription and translation. Test with your own samples for best results.

Yes. Subtitle view shows segment start and end times for playback, editing, and subtitle export.

Enable speaker diarization in advanced settings. It works well for meetings, interviews, and podcasts.

Yes. After the job completes, edit segments in the workbench, save changes, then copy or export.

Open the export panel on the results page and download full text, subtitles, or Markdown.

Common formats include TXT, Markdown, SRT, and VTT. Available options depend on the result panel.

Yes. After transcription completes, generate summaries, chapters, and key points for meetings, courses, or quick review.

Yes. Translate transcript segments and summaries into target languages for localization and cross-language workflows.

A free quota is available for trials and light usage. Larger files, higher limits, and more AI features unlock with paid plans.

Yes. Plans may limit daily jobs, monthly minutes, per-job duration, file size, or concurrency. See the pricing page for current rules.

Files are processed through server-side jobs and configured storage. Do not upload content you are not authorized to process or highly sensitive material.

Files and results may be kept in My Assets to support history, export, and review. Export what you need and contact support for deletion requests.

Regular users can only access their own jobs. Admins may view necessary job status and system logs for troubleshooting and compliance.
